Something Blue

Do people still like to have 'something blue' on their wedding day?  I know I did... a sapphire necklace... which were actually borrowed from my mother... and was very old (was my Grandmother's).  So I guess I managed to tick all off the 'old, borrowed, blue' thing with one necklace!

Either way, I'm just loving these soft blues below... especially the cute shoes! x

A little touch of winter

Good morning all... so, is it chilly where you are?  Winter sure is here!

We're always posting a lot of coloured inspiration boards, but today we thought we'd go with a good old fashioned black and white winter inspired board.

I'm secretly in love with the capelet.  I bought a few when I lived over in London and saved them for special occasions...  I always thought they made you feel quite glamorous! Lucy x

Inspiration board - Oodles of Orange

I love a little bit of orange... have found myself buying a few orange accessories recently... scarves and earrings mainly... just gives that splash of colour to a winters outfit.   So I thought I'd do an orange inspiration board today.

Such a lovely colour to incorporate into your wedding.   So much can be done with it..

I am in love with that ring.  Simply stunning.   And what a cute idea to have little cupcake bags for your guests... very sweet.  Literally.  xox

Ombre

Ombre...

n. A French term meaning “shaded.” Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark.

You've probably seen and heard a lot about this recently.  It's being used so beautifully in the wedding industry at the moment, whether it be in stationery, cakes, floral arrangements or party decorations.

Below is one of Cocoa Berry's ombre invitations and other stationery - following that, cake, cake and more cake.

Mmmmmmm.

Inspiration board - Bella Rose

Good morning all !

We recently introduced you to our latest design 'Bella Rose' - so today's post is just a little inspiration board based around those gorgeous colours!

Tones of soft pink, cherry and ruby colours mixed with pistachio green... so romantic and expressive - just perfect.   These colours can be incorporated right across all areas within a wedding... from wedding stationery, bouquets, favours, table settings, right through the look and feel for the bridesmaids.

Have a great day everyone!

Spotlight couple - Emma and Henry

It is always special working on a friends wedding stationeryAnd this one was no exception! Not only is Emma one of my (Charlotte) very dear friends, but I was also a bridesmaid for this stunning wedding.

Emma and Henry were dream clients, they knew what they wanted, had a very clear concept for the style of their wedding and were very receiving to our input and ideas.

The brief was clear – simple, elegant invitations with a rustic edge. Printed on a textured card with rounded corners and added features of craft paper envelopes and twine. So it was very easy to follow this theme through to all the ‘on the day’ stationery. Menus, place name tags tied to napkins with bakers twine, a pegged table plan, table numbers attached to twigs, favor tags for hand potted jars of honey… oh and custom made envelopes for the photobooth.   OH my!

I could go on about this day, how beautiful every detail was, how stunning Emma looked, or the special morning we all spent together getting ready, trying not to look each other in the eye or our mascara would run. But I think I will let these magical photos captured by the oh-so-talented Catherine from Catherine Cattanach Photography speak for themselves.

The invite set - Invite, RSVP postcard, info card with map, craft envelope tied together with twine and swing tag. Phew!

Close up of swing tag, little barn logo used through out.
Beautiful Emma!

Flowers too beautiful for words. From the talented team at Moonflower

Detail shots - menus, name tags and table numbers

Love birds!

As favours - mini jars of honey from Henrys parents farm and hand potted by Emmas Nan! Tied with lace and twine.

There we all are! We all picked our own dresses and the little shrugs were made by Emmas Mum!

A little Moet and photos!

How's that for a reception! Stunning.

New designs on the website

Hey there everyone!

Well it's been a very busy few weeks of enquiries for us here at Cocoa Berry Design - it's been wonderful speaking with so many new clients and getting an understanding of what sorts of lovely designs and colours they're interested in.

So... we've finally found some time to be able to add 3 new designs to our 'off the rack' collection.  This is something we've been wanting to do for a little while.

Let us introduce to you...

A charming rustic design - perfect for an outdoor country wedding - gorgeous rural rolling farmland

Ahoy! A fun and quirky design whether you are nautical or not. Tying the knot is a light hearted design using 'knot' illustrations and expressive typography

This design based on the pattern of a greek tile, has been named 'Mosaic'.  It's a pretty wee design with lots of pattern and texture.

We hope you enjoy them!

Spotlight couple - Samantha and Dominik

Towards the end of last year, we were lucky enough to design a full stationery suite for our gorgeous clients Samantha and Dominik. They were married on the 14th October 2011 at the wonderful venue Okahu.

They came to us with a specific theme in mind - it was a romantic travel theme coupled with old country. It suited them so well as they've certainly visited some wonderful destinations around the globe.

Gayle from Exquisite Weddings was their wedding planner and as always, did an amazing job pulling everything together.

Dillon photography captured the day with utter perfection and also supplied the fun filled Little Black Photobooth as well.

The cake from For Heavens Cake looked incredible! It was 4 tiers with both lemon and chocolate - and the extra special touch was that the piping on the cake matched the lace on Samantha's stunning wedding dress!

We want to wish Samantha and Dominik all the very best for their future together... !
