I love a little bit of orange... have found myself buying a few orange accessories recently... scarves and earrings mainly... just gives that splash of colour to a winters outfit.   So I thought I'd do an orange inspiration board today.  

Such a lovely colour to incorporate into your wedding.   So much can be done with it.. 

I am in love with that ring.  Simply stunning.   And what a cute idea to have little cupcake bags for your guests... very sweet.  Literally.  xox

Inspiration board - Pretty Peony

Good morning all, 

Peonies.  Love love love Peonies.  They're just such beautiful, soft, delicate flowers which is what makes them so perfect for weddings.  One of our 'off the rack' invitation designs called 'pretty peony' has been one of the favourite designs round here and so today we have a wee inspiration board based around that. 

This colour of this invitation can be changed to suit the colour theme of your wedding, whatever that may be.  ♡

Good morning all!  Well, it's nearly the end of the week already.  Across here in Melbourne it's been ridiculously hot over these last 2 weeks in March and it's the same lovely weather in NZ too!    Just perfect for all the weddings taking place at this time of the year.

The colour purple

When I think of the colour purple, I think of royalty and today that's quite fitting.

This morning I've been speaking with our newest client over in England. This gorgeous couple are getting married in Old Windsor which is a large village in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Having lived in this area myself for a number of years, I know just how beautiful this part of the country is. The venue they've chosen is an old estate set amongst landscaped grounds - such a tranquil location... just perfect!

Their colour theme is purple and whilst we're working on their invitations, I thought a purple inspiration board was called for. Whether its eggplant, indigo, magenta, fuchsia, plum, mulberry, violet, thistle or wine - they're all stunning and can be used in a numerous ways.

Loving this combo at the moment and have been working on a few stationery sets in this colour-way over the last few months. It's ultra feminine, fun and summery. Brighten it up with tones of coral and honeysuckle or tone is down with some creams and ivory.

Would be a great inspiration for a bridal shower or high tea too!

We're off to the Wairarapa Wedding Expo this weekend - looking forward to meeting lots of new brides to be and all the fabulous suppliers. Will be sure to post some pics!

A little bird told me...

There are so many themes you can choose for your wedding and one that is certainly still popular at the moment is to incorporate birds into your big day.

Birds can be such a beautiful part of accessorising your wedding and especially birdcages for the tables. They give a beautiful antique/vintage look. And of course stationery.... there are so many wonderful ways to incorporate this them into your wedding stationery!

We often refer to loved up couples as 'love birds'. Did you know that Lovebirds are a type of parrot (very colourful) and they like to sit closely together in pairs. It's commonly believed that they can't live without their mate - they got their name because they're such sociable and affectionate birds! So go and give your lovebird a kiss... !

Under the old Oak tree

Some times we like to take one of our invite designs and build an inspiration board around that set. And today it's lucky design... Oak. We have taken the colours - Aqua and Red - and the style - outdoor summer wedding- and created this lovely wee board.

An intimate outdoor wedding under the Oak tree would link to the invite design and these colours are a striking combo and easy to theme. Red balloons, aqua streamers and lollypops, not to mention the HOT shoes. Sounds pretty good to me!

Colour 'Palette'

Here's a splash of colour for you. A new design - 'Palette' for its easy diverse colour exploration. Its simple, fun and informal - sometimes thats all you need in an invite. Oh yes.

Black Swan

Saw 'Black Swan' last night, an amazing movie - Nataile Portman is a standout and fully deserves all the award nominations she's been getting.

So today we bring you an inspiration board inspired by the movie. This look - whether you choose the white 'good' swan or the black 'evil' swan look - will be a stunning look to pull of. Taking inspiration from the ballet-look dresses and the feather accessories make a striking combo. Fun for your bridal party or just for fun. Do it!
