Spotlight couple - Louise & James

We recently had the pleasure of working on a custom design with the gorgeous couple Louise and James.
We started on their design with Save the Dates early in the piece. Louise wanted something whimsical and romantic but nothing too girly! They wanted a strong monogram that could be used throughout the stationery and follow through to the menus on the day.

We went for a very loose, free flowing floral design in soft pink, greens and cream colours and then contrasted that with a solid black background. We used a very whimsical font for the save the date and then gave the invitation a slightly more formal feel with a more traditional serif font.

The monogram gave the set the whimsical feel they were after and look great for consistency through out the stationery.

A big congrats to the newly weds and thank you for letting us work on your lovely stationery.

Spotlight couple - Janna & Stuart

We just loved working on this custom design for Janna and Stuart!

Janna came to us with a lovely idea and a link to her Pinterest inspiration boards. Note to all brides, these are so helpful! Not just great when designing something like stationery but great to be able to send a link to all your suppliers so they truly get the style and theme of your wedding. Sometimes it can be hard to describe what you want and this is where images really come in handy!

Anyway back to the design... Janna and Stuart were having a slight Spanish themed wedding with lots of spanish bunting, spanish tapas on the menu and the BMS in coral dresses. We customised some bunting images to add in their names and wedding date into the bunting. We went for a bold coral colour and reversed it out in various other stationery items.

Congratulations to Janna and Stuart and thank you for letting us work on your lovely stationery!

Spotlight couple - Emma and Henry

It is always special working on a friends wedding stationeryAnd this one was no exception! Not only is Emma one of my (Charlotte) very dear friends, but I was also a bridesmaid for this stunning wedding.

Emma and Henry were dream clients, they knew what they wanted, had a very clear concept for the style of their wedding and were very receiving to our input and ideas.

The brief was clear – simple, elegant invitations with a rustic edge. Printed on a textured card with rounded corners and added features of craft paper envelopes and twine. So it was very easy to follow this theme through to all the ‘on the day’ stationery. Menus, place name tags tied to napkins with bakers twine, a pegged table plan, table numbers attached to twigs, favor tags for hand potted jars of honey… oh and custom made envelopes for the photobooth.   OH my!

I could go on about this day, how beautiful every detail was, how stunning Emma looked, or the special morning we all spent together getting ready, trying not to look each other in the eye or our mascara would run. But I think I will let these magical photos captured by the oh-so-talented Catherine from Catherine Cattanach Photography speak for themselves.

The Loft at Tarureka Estate
The invite set - Invite, RSVP postcard, info card with map, craft envelope tied together with twine and swing tag. Phew!

Close up of swing tag, little barn logo used through out.
Beautiful Emma!

Flowers too beautiful for words. From the talented team at Moonflower

Detail shots - menus, name tags and table numbers

Love birds!

As favours - mini jars of honey from Henrys parents farm and hand potted by Emmas Nan! Tied with lace and twine.

There we all are! We all picked our own dresses and the little shrugs were made by Emmas Mum!

A little Moet and photos!

How's that for a reception! Stunning.

Spotlight couple - Amber & James

We recently had the pleasure of working with a lovely couple, Amber and James - they were married on Saturday 10th March at Chardy Ridge out on Waiheke Island.  Talk about a stunning venue!

The design they chose from Cocoa Berry was 'Just Dandy' and decided on a classic yet elegant black & white colour scheme.  Just perfect.

We also helped Amber with a stamp she wanted to get made to go with her wedding stationery - we designed all the art work and Amber sourced the stamp herself.   You can see in how great it looks in the last photo - a gorgeous little candy bag!

The very talented Kate Robinson was their photographer on the day and we're pleased to be able to share some of their special photos with you...

Spotlight couple - Jane & Simon

We had the pleasure of working with the lovely couple Jane and Simon recently.

There were married on the 21st of January 2012 up north in Hokianga. They went for a beautiful soft romantic theme, with gorgeous flowers gathered from the garden, sitting in little apothecary jars on the tables. Including the oh so lovely hydrangeas consisting of both greens and blues... so it made sense for them to choose the 'Botanical' design we have at Cocoa Berry for their wedding stationery.

On the day they required a table plan, table numbers, menus and little favour tags too which you'll see in the photos below.

Many thanks to Diana Sanders for these lovely photographs, we appreciate you sending them through to us!

It was wonderful to work with Jane and Simon and we wish them all the very best for their future together!

Spotlight couple - Samantha and Dominik

Towards the end of last year, we were lucky enough to design a full stationery suite for our gorgeous clients Samantha and Dominik. They were married on the 14th October 2011 at the wonderful venue Okahu.

They came to us with a specific theme in mind - it was a romantic travel theme coupled with old country. It suited them so well as they've certainly visited some wonderful destinations around the globe.

Gayle from Exquisite Weddings was their wedding planner and as always, did an amazing job pulling everything together.

Dillon photography captured the day with utter perfection and also supplied the fun filled Little Black Photobooth as well.

The cake from For Heavens Cake looked incredible! It was 4 tiers with both lemon and chocolate - and the extra special touch was that the piping on the cake matched the lace on Samantha's stunning wedding dress!

We want to wish Samantha and Dominik all the very best for their future together... !

Spotlight Couple - Alana and Gareth

We wanted to share this STUNNING wedding of Alana and Gareth's with you. Be prepared for a feast for the eyes!!

Alana approached us for her wedding stationery back in October 2010 and she decided that the design Vintage Garden would be perfect for them. We took out the buttery yellow and went for a palette of crisp white, dusty pink and charcoal, printed on a textured card. Then in February 2011 we moved on to the wonderfully detailed reception stationery - and as we write this we will be starting work on their thank you cards. It's been quite a journey!!

We love it when our brides (and grooms!) come back to us after their big day and share with us their favorite photos from their special day. Once the stationery is sent winging its way to our couples that's usually the last we get to see of it! That's why it is extra special when we get to see the pics of the stationery in all it's glory, sitting in it's setting looking so perfect.

Thanks to Alana and Gareth for allowing us to share this with you all, and thank you for letting us be just a small part of your special day. Enjoy!

The beautiful couple, in a beautiful soft light. Photographer: Dillon Photography

Instead of a guest book we designed these individual cards that guest could write a message to Alana and Gareth, then tie them to a beautiful branch feature.

Individual messages tied to the branches and the table plan.

The perfectly laid tables at the fantastic Gracehill Vineyard Estate venue, complete with menus, place names and tent fold table numbers.

Place names of the newly Mr & Mrs.

Details of the menus and beautiful place settings.

Detail from the stationery design was meticulously piped on to this delicious looking cake made by Sweet Bites Cakes. (click on image for a closer look)

An amazing looking candy bar was set up at the reception, full of Alana and Gareths faves, and these mini signs we made to help with the pickings! Yum.

Little stickers were made to complete the candy bar bags, 'Love is Sweet'
